Patient + Caregiver & Tech Community Workshop

An intimate, invite-only half-day workshop and roundtable bringing together the patient and caregiver communities directly with the technology community. This is a structured dialogue — not a panel — designed for genuine co-design and relationship-building between the people who build AI and the people who live with its consequences.

Problem Definition

How do we ensure the problems AI is built to solve are the ones patients actually face? This session explores how patient communities can shape the earliest stage of AI development — before a single line of code is written.

Panel Sponsorship$5,000–$10,000

Design

Co-design is not a checkbox. This panel brings together patient advocates, UX researchers, and product designers to explore what genuine patient-centered design looks like in health AI — and what it doesn't.

Panel Sponsorship$5,000–$10,000

Development

From data labeling to model architecture, development decisions shape who AI serves and who it excludes. This fireside chat explores how patient voices can be embedded throughout the technical development process.

Panel Sponsorship$5,000–$10,000

Piloting

Pilots are where good intentions meet real-world complexity. This panel examines how to design pilots that genuinely test patient outcomes, not just technical performance — and how to involve patient communities as co-investigators.

Implementation & Deployment

Deployment is not the finish line — it's where patient impact begins. This session explores the critical decisions made at the point of deployment: who gets access, how trust is built, and how patient feedback shapes ongoing iteration.

Panel Sponsorship$5,000–$10,000

Governance, Monitoring & Evaluation

AI governance is only as strong as the communities it protects. This closing session examines the frameworks, metrics, and accountability structures needed to ensure health AI remains patient-centered long after launch.

Community Impact

Patient-Powered AI Engagement Fund

The most important voices at the Summit are those of patients and caregivers. This fund ensures they can be in the room — and that they arrive equipped to engage meaningfully. Contributions range from $3,000 to $100,000+.

Summit Attendance Fund

Your contribution directly covers registration, travel, and accommodation costs for patient advocates and caregivers to attend the 2026 Patient-Powered AI Summit. Every dollar goes to ensuring that the people most affected by health AI are in the room where decisions are made.

Impact

~$500–$1,500 per patient advocate funded

AI Literacy Resources Fund

Your contribution funds the development of educational resources — curricula, toolkits, workshops, and digital learning modules — that build AI literacy among patient advocates and caregivers. These resources are developed through PXI's LearningLab and distributed through NHC's network of ~200 patient organizations.

Impact

Reaches patient communities across all 200 NHC member organizations

Funders choose which option their contribution supports — or split it between both.
